enrops is built by a team of youth enrichment program leaders. We have taught the classes, hired and coached the instructors, led the schools and answered the parent emails at 9pm. We run programs at 75+ school sites through Journey to STEAM, and enrops is the software we run them on.
We know what a kids program looks like from every seat: the teacher, the principal, the program leader and the parent registering from the pickup line. We know where the systems break, because they broke on us first.

Who built enrops?
A team of youth enrichment program leaders. enrops was founded by Dr. Arielle Hammond, Ed.D., a former school principal and the founder of Journey to STEAM, and it is built by people who have run programs at 75+ school sites across Oregon and Washington. enrops is the registration, payments and operations software we built to run those programs, and now other operators run their programs on it too.

How we build
Every screen runs at Journey to STEAM before it reaches you. The people who build enrops also teach the classes, hire the instructors and answer the parent emails, so nothing ships that we would not want to use on a Tuesday afternoon.
Every one of us has worked inside a kids program. So when we sit across from an operator, a principal, a PTO president or a parks coordinator, we know their side of the table. We have signed that agreement from both sides.

A note from Arielle
I spent a decade in public education, leading schools. In my first year as a principal I had to cancel our after-school program. The people running it had no curriculum and no support behind them, and I made the call. It was the wrong outcome for those kids, and I have not forgotten it.
Years later I was running my own enrichment business and drowning in the operations of it. Registration in one tool, payroll in a spreadsheet, rosters across three logins, every season. I looked high and low for software built for a business like mine. There wasn't any. So I built enrops.
It changed how my company runs. It gave me my evenings and my weekends back. Now we are handing it to every operator building the same thing somewhere else.

Where we run programs
What is Journey to STEAM?
Journey to STEAM is the youth enrichment company Arielle founded in 2023. We teach hands-on STEM to K-8 kids, including LEGO robotics, coding and engineering, inside schools and community sites across Oregon and Southwest Washington. It has grown to programs at 75+ school sites with 2,500+ students, and 95% of our school partners renew.

We write our curriculum in-house and field test it every term. Our instructors are screened, background checked, trained, coached and observed. Fewer than 10% of the people who apply to teach for us are hired. That standard is why schools keep us.
Frustration is fuel
Why was enrops built?
Because Journey to STEAM needed it first. Growing to dozens of school sites meant registration in one tool, payroll in a spreadsheet, schedules in another spreadsheet and rosters in three logins. Nothing we found did the whole job for a business like ours, so we built it, and we run it at Journey to STEAM every day.
We thought growth would make the work lighter. Year two grew, and it cost more work than year one did. Payroll was run by hand, because one rule we hold is never to pay people late. So Arielle called operators who had been at this for twenty years and asked how they handled scheduling, payroll and registration. Everybody said the same thing: a spreadsheet. That told us what we needed to know. The problem was the toolbox.
Then we asked operators to describe the tool they wished they had. They were describing enrops. They had never heard of it.
We're educators and operators first. That's the standard we build to: the first screen makes sense without anyone explaining it, and a parent can register and pay on her phone in minutes. Our founder is also a mom of three young kids who live in enrichment activities, so she uses checkouts like this one every season. She knows which ones she finishes.
How we build
We build it. We run it at Journey to STEAM. Then we hand it to you. Journey to STEAM cut $83K in annual admin costs running on enrops, and every operator who signs up gets the same registration, checkout, rosters and waivers we use ourselves.
When we aren't working on enrops, you might find us hiring a new instructor, subbing a class, or connecting with families enrolled in our programs.
Mission
Safer for kids. Simpler to run.
Our mission is to make youth enrichment programs safer for kids and simpler to run. Kids are little beings of light, love, hope, and possibility. Our entire job, as people who run programs, is to create magical moments for them. Our job at enrops is to make those moments sustainable for the people who create them, and possible in more places.
We believe you can do well by doing good. We want more kids in more programs. It's why enrops has payment plans with no interest and no plan fee, and why the price families see first is the price they pay.
