What has Arielle Hammond run?
Schools first. I led schools in Oregon. In 2023 I founded Journey to STEAM, which runs hands-on STEM programs for K-8 kids at 75+ school sites. Today I'm the founder and CEO of enrops, the software our programs run on.

I came into education through Teach For America. One of the schools I led was a public charter school in the Portland area that its district was considering closing. Over four years, its state growth ratings rose from level 1 to levels 4 and 5 and enrollment grew. It's still open, and leaders I trained still run it.
Journey to STEAM teaches LEGO robotics, coding and engineering inside schools and community sites across Oregon and Southwest Washington. We write our curriculum in-house and field test it every term. Our instructors are screened, background checked, trained, coached and observed, and fewer than 10% of the people who apply to teach for us are hired.
enrops came out of that work. It was built by a team of youth enrichment program leaders, people who run programs, hire instructors and answer parents every week. I'm the founder and CEO. We built it because our own programs needed it, and we run it at Journey to STEAM every day. Journey to STEAM cut $83K in annual admin costs running on it.
I've been the teacher. I've been the principal. I've been the parent registering from the pickup line. Read the enrops story, the Journey to STEAM story, or who founded enrops and why.

What does she write about?
I write for people who run camps, classes and after-school programs. Six topics: starting a program, school partnerships, filling programs, registration and payments, money and pricing, and instructors and operations. Each piece comes from running programs. Numbers come with their sources, and the math is shown.

The podcast
Where can I hear her?
I host The Youth Enrichment Leader, presented by enrops. It's where people who run kids programs trade what's working: real programs, real numbers, what worked and what it cost. Some episodes are me alone with a lesson from Journey to STEAM. Others are conversations with operators who have solved something worth sharing.
How do I reach her?
Write to hello@enrops.com for press, speaking and questions about anything I've written. You can also find me on LinkedIn.
