How Journey to STEAM cut $83K in annual admin costs
Journey to STEAM teaches hands-on STEM to K-8 kids inside schools and community sites across Oregon and Southwest Washington. It was running on seven tools and a stack of spreadsheets. Its founder built enrops to replace them.

Before
What was Journey to STEAM using before enrops?
Seven different tools, held together by spreadsheets and memory. Registration lived in one tool and payments in another. Schedules lived in a spreadsheet, rosters were re-entered by hand for each school, and instructor payroll was calculated by hand. Every new school site added another copy of the same admin work.
Registration in one tool. Payments in another. A spreadsheet to match the two.
Every roster re-entered by hand, then sent to each school office.
Every parent update copy-pasted from last term.
Every paycheck calculated in a spreadsheet.
A school partner asks for a roster, and the answer is in three logins.
The programs were strong and school partners kept renewing. The toolbox was the problem, and it got heavier with every site.
The decision
Why did the founder build her own software?
Dr. Arielle Hammond spent a decade in public education, leading schools, before she founded Journey to STEAM in 2023. When the admin outgrew the tools, she called operators with twenty years in the business and asked what they used. They said spreadsheets. So she built the software her own programs needed, and named it enrops.
Journey to STEAM became the first business on it. Every enrops feature runs there before it reaches another operator.
Read Arielle's story"We get into it for the dream, and then it turns into a nightmare. enrops got us out of the nightmare."

After
How did Journey to STEAM save $83K?
By moving the admin work from seven tools into one. Families register, sign the waiver and pay in one place. Rosters build themselves as registrations come in, and schedules follow each school's calendar. With that work handled in one place, Journey to STEAM cut $83K in annual admin costs.
- One registration link per program, with checkout families finish on a phone
- Rosters with grade and homeroom teacher, and a live count of who's enrolled
- Schedules built around each school's calendar and no-school days
- Waivers signed at signup, payment plans you set, and refunds in the same place
Journey to STEAM also uses roster sends to partner sites, instructor assignments and contractor instructor pay. Those are set up with our team today.
This is one company's result. Yours depends on what your admin costs you now.
