Registration loss calculator
How many families start signing up for your program and never finish? Put in your numbers and see what a clunky registration costs you each season, with every assumption on the table.
This is an estimate, built on the assumptions below. Your results will differ.

We'll send your numbers and the assumptions behind them, plus a short read every other week on what's working in kids programs.
The assumptions, in the open
Families who start and don't finish. Nobody publishes a drop-off rate for kids program registration, so the starting percentages are our own assumptions by method: paper or PDF 25%, Google Forms plus a separate payment 20%, a general form builder 15%, older registration software 12%. Replace them with your own number if you know it.
Why drop-off is real. Across 50 studies of online checkout, Baymard Institute documents an average abandonment rate of 70.22%. Among US shoppers who abandoned, 40% cited extra costs, 18% a forced account, 17% a checkout that was too long or complicated, and 12% not seeing the total up front.

One in three won back. Baymard estimates the average large ecommerce site can lift conversion 35.26% through better checkout design. We use one in three of your lost families as a round illustration of that.
Wallets help. In a Stripe experiment, businesses that offered Apple Pay saw an average 22.3% increase in conversion. That is a Stripe-wide result, not an enrops result.

Admin time. We assume half of the hours you spend matching payments to signups, chasing balances and retyping rosters go away when registration and payment happen in one place. Your own number will differ.
Where do families drop off during registration?
Families drop off when signup asks them to switch tools or wait: a form in one place and a payment link in another, a price that changes at the last step, an account they must create first, or a form that fights their phone. Each extra step is a chance to get pulled away.
The handoff between form and payment
A Google Form, then a Venmo request. Some families do the first and forget the second, and you spend the season matching names to payments.
A price that grows at the end
The price families see first is the price they pay on enrops, with the service fee already included.
Forms built for a desktop
Most parents register on a phone, in the pickup line. PDFs and long desktop forms lose them.
No second chance
When a family stops halfway, most tools let them go. enrops nudges them back to finish.

About this calculator
Is the calculator accurate for my program?
It's an estimate. The drop-off percentages are our assumptions, shown on this page, and you can replace them with your own. The arithmetic is simple on purpose: families who start, times the share who don't finish, times your price.
How do I find my real drop-off rate?
Compare how many families opened or started your form with how many paid. Google Forms shows responses; your payment app shows payments. The gap between the two is your number.
Does enrops cost anything to try?
enrops is free for businesses. Families pay a small enrops service fee included in the price they see first, and your only cost is Stripe's standard processing.
What does enrops do about abandoned registrations?
When a family starts a registration and doesn't finish, enrops sends them a reminder to come back and finish.
Your next registration could open today.
Create it, connect Stripe, share the link. Families register and pay in one place, and the money lands in your own Stripe account.
