Trust and security
Security and privacy at enrops
Families trust programs with their kids and their money, and programs trust enrops with both. This page says what enrops does with payment and family information today, in plain language. It also says what we don't claim.
Payments
Who handles card and bank details?
Stripe does. When a family pays, card and bank details are entered into Stripe's payment fields, and Stripe processes the payment. Stripe is certified as a PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification in the payments industry. Payouts go to the business's own Stripe account and on to its bank.

- Stripe states that all card numbers are encrypted at rest with AES-256 and that connections to Stripe require TLS 1.2 or higher.
- Each business connects its own Stripe account during setup. Stripe verifies the business and its bank account.
- Families see one price first, with the enrops service fee included. It is refunded to the family whenever the registration is refunded.

Family information
What information does enrops collect about kids and families?
The information a program needs to run: the child's name, grade and teacher, the pickup plan, medical notes the family chooses to share such as an allergy, and the names and contact details of parents and guardians. Families also sign the program's waiver during registration.
Child's name, grade and teacher
To build the roster and find the child in the building at dismissal.
Pickup plan
So the instructor knows who is picked up, who goes to aftercare and who walks.
Medical notes the family chooses to share
So the adult in the room knows about an allergy, an inhaler or anything else a parent wants them to know.
Parent and guardian names and contacts
To confirm the registration and reach a parent when it matters.
The program's waiver
Signed by the parent during registration, in the program's own words.
Card and bank details
Entered into Stripe's payment fields and processed by Stripe.
Who can see my kids' information?
The program you registered with. Each business decides who on its team has a login, and those are the people who see rosters, pickup plans and the notes you shared. You see your own family's registrations in your parent account.
Logins belong to the business. The Free plan includes 1 login and Pro includes 10. Instructors who receive class assignments don't need a login to do it.
What is family information used for?
To run registrations: putting a child on the right roster, confirming the registration, taking payment through Stripe, and giving the program what it needs for pickup and care. The enrops Privacy Policy is the full, binding description of what is collected and how it is used.
Kids, COPPA and FERPA
Do kids use enrops, and what about COPPA and FERPA?
Kids don't use enrops. Parents and guardians, who are adults, create the account and enter their children's information. enrops is registration software for the programs families sign up for. It is not a school's student information system, and it doesn't hold a school's education records. We don't claim a COPPA or FERPA certification.
Who enters the information
A parent or guardian, for their own child, when they register for a program they chose. No child is asked to create an account, log in or type anything.
Where schools fit
Programs on enrops often meet in school buildings. The program is still the one collecting registrations. Schools, PTOs and parks departments that want to see how it works for their site can book a demo with our team.

What we don't claim
A trust page is only useful if it's exact. Here is what enrops does not hold or do today.
No SOC 2 report
enrops has not completed a SOC 2 audit. Stripe, which processes payments, publishes its own audit and certification details.
No HIPAA claim
enrops is not a medical records system. Medical notes are what a family chooses to tell its program, and families decide how much to share.
No COPPA or FERPA certification
We describe our role above as it is. We don't display a compliance badge we haven't earned.
enrops doesn't vouch for anyone
enrops doesn't verify or certify programs, businesses or instructors. Each business is responsible for who it hires and how it screens them. Ask your program how it does both.
Need a security review or single sign-on for your organization? Both are part of the Custom plan and are set up with our team. Book a demo and bring your questionnaire.
Report a security concern

Privacy requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Other questions go through the contact page.
