Stripe setup

Set up Stripe once. Get paid for every registration.

Stripe is the payment company that moves money from a family's card to your bank. enrops uses it so every registration pays out to a Stripe account that belongs to you. Have five things in hand and you'll finish in one sitting.

Free for businesses. Live in under 5 minutes.

What is Stripe, and why does enrops use it?

Stripe is a payment processor. It charges the family's card, debit card or wallet, holds the money in a Stripe account in your business's name, and pays it out to your bank. enrops connects to that account so registration and payment happen in one place, and the money is yours from the start.

Your account. Your money.

Payments land in your own Stripe account and pay out to your bank. You can see every payment and payout in Stripe, under your own login.

Families pay the way they like.

Cards, debit and wallets on a phone, at the price they saw on the first screen. Payment plans split the total into the installments you set.

Card details stay with Stripe.

Stripe is a PCI Level 1 certified payment processor. Card and bank details are entered with Stripe, so you don't store them. See security.

Have these ready

What do I need to set up Stripe?

For a US business: your bank account, your EIN (or your SSN if you're a sole proprietor), your legal name, home address, date of birth and phone number, your business address, and a statement descriptor, which is the name families see on their card statement. Build your program in enrops first, then connect Stripe.

How long does Stripe setup take?

Minutes, for most operators. In our July 25, 2026 production test, a new enrops account had Stripe connected by minute 5 to 7. Stripe publishes no fixed verification time. Details you type in are often verified on the spot. If Stripe asks for a document, that adds time.

When do payouts arrive?

Per Stripe, your first payout is typically scheduled to complete within 7 to 14 days of your first live payment, and it can take longer depending on your industry and risk level. After that, payouts follow your payout schedule and arrive faster. The clock starts at your first payment, so open registration early.

Common holdups

Where Stripe setup stalls, and how to get past it.

Four things slow operators down. Each one has a quick fix.

Your EIN and legal name don't match

Stripe checks your legal business name against your EIN. Type the name the way it appears on your IRS letter. Your program's everyday name goes in the "doing business as" field.

Your bank account won't verify

Use a checking account that belongs to the business, or to you if you're a sole proprietor. Re-check the routing and account numbers digit by digit. One wrong digit is enough to stop it.

The statement descriptor gets rejected

It needs 5 to 22 Latin characters with at least one letter, and it should reflect your business name. "BRIGHT SPARKS" works. "BSE" is too short. Families who recognize the charge don't have to wonder what it is.

You're doing it on a phone

It works on a phone. Stripe may text you a code or ask you to confirm in another app. Keep the enrops tab open while you do, then come back to the same tab to finish.

Already have Stripe?

Connect the account you have. When enrops sends you to Stripe, use the email on your existing Stripe account and Stripe picks it up from there.

What does Stripe charge?

Stripe's published US rate is 2.9% + $0.30 per successful transaction for domestic cards. That is your only cost. You pay enrops $0 per transaction on every plan, unless you choose to cover the enrops service fee for your families.

On a $240 class, the family pays $247.20, Stripe's processing is $7.47, and $232.53 lands in your Stripe account. enrops is free for businesses. Your only cost is Stripe's standard processing.

Family pays$247.20

The service fee is refunded to the family whenever the registration is refunded.

Stuck?

A person reads your email.

Tell us which Stripe screen stopped you and what it says. Leave out your SSN, EIN and bank numbers. We'll tell you the next step, and we can set up a short session to finish it with you.

Stripe questions operators ask before they connect

Do I need a Stripe account before I sign up for enrops?

No. Create your registration first. When you reach the payments step, enrops sends you to Stripe to create an account or connect the one you have. In our July 25, 2026 production test, Stripe was connected by minute 5 to 7.

Can I use my SSN instead of an EIN?

If you're a sole proprietor with no EIN, yes. Stripe lets you say your business does not have an EIN and use your SSN. If your business has an EIN, use it, with the legal name the IRS has on file.

What if Stripe asks me for a document?

Stripe may ask for a scan of a valid government-issued ID, a proof of address document, or both. Upload it the same day so your opening date holds. Stripe can also ask for more information later, as your payment volume grows.

When will the money reach my bank?

Per Stripe, a first payout is typically scheduled to complete within 7 to 14 days of your first live payment. After that, payouts follow your payout schedule and arrive faster. Your Stripe dashboard shows each payout and its expected date.

Where does the money go?

Payments go to your own Stripe account and pay out to your bank. The enrops service fee is separate, paid by the family as part of the price they see first, unless you choose to cover it.

What will families see on their statement?

Your statement descriptor. Use your business name so families recognize the charge. Stripe requires 5 to 22 characters with at least one letter.

Is my SSN or EIN shared with enrops?

You enter identity and bank details on Stripe's own onboarding screens. Stripe uses them to verify your business. Read what enrops does and does not claim on the security page.

Your next registration could open today.

Create it, connect Stripe, share the link. Families register and pay in one place, and the money lands in your own Stripe account.
