Enrichment program software

Enrichment programs don't have a front desk.

A youth enrichment program is a paid class, club or camp that teaches kids something outside the school day: robotics, chess, art, cooking, ukulele. Families register by the session or the term. enrops is registration and payment software built for that business, inside a company that runs one across 75+ school sites.

At 2:40 you're loading bins into the car. At 3:15 you're in a cafeteria with eighteen kids and a parent texting to ask whether there's still room. The registration, the waiver and the money should have been finished a week ago, on her phone, without you.

The actual job

What does an enrichment program need from software?

Four things: one link where a family picks the program, signs the waiver and pays; a term schedule built around the school calendar; a roster per site you can teach from; and the money in your own bank account. Everything else is decoration. enrops does those four on the free plan.

Your term is never twelve neat weeks.

Conferences. An in-service Friday. The week of Thanksgiving. Every building runs its own calendar, so every term starts with you and a printout, counting.

Pick the district and the school, say which day the club meets, and the dates are calculated for you. No-school days show before you publish, so the number you charge matches the number of sessions you teach.

The parent decides in about ninety seconds.

She sees the flyer at pickup and opens her phone in the car line. A PDF, a separate payment app and a "we'll invoice you" lose her before the light turns green.

One link does the whole thing. She picks the program, answers your questions, signs your waiver and pays by card, wallet or bank. The price she sees first is the price she pays.

Somebody always needs the list.

The office wants to know who's in the building Wednesday. Your instructor wants to know how many chairs. You want to know whether the class clears its minimum.

Every registration lands on the right roster: name, family email, grade and homeroom teacher, with the live enrolled count at the top. Add every site and partner school you serve. No per-location pricing.

Set up with our team today: roster sends to your partner sites, authorized pickup and aftercare dismissal, instructor assignments and sub offers.

Why doesn't gym or child care software fit an enrichment program?

Because they're built on different business models. Membership software assumes monthly dues that renew until somebody cancels. Child care software assumes a licensed center, a front desk and daily attendance. An enrichment program sells a term, a session or a camp week, often inside a building it doesn't own.

How does registration work for an enrichment program?

Create one program per class, per site and per term. Name it, set the dates from the school calendar, set the price, add your questions and your waiver. Publish it and you get a link and a QR code. Families register and pay on their phones, and the money goes to your own Stripe account.

Creating that first registration takes under 5 minutes. The full walkthrough is on how it works. Still deciding what to run? Read how to start a kids enrichment business, or what is youth enrichment? for the category itself.

Have these ready and you'll finish in one sitting

1. Your program details: name, dates, price, ages.

2. The bank account you want payouts sent to.

3. Your EIN, or your SSN if you're a sole proprietor. Stripe asks for it to verify your business.

Built by an operator

enrops came out of an enrichment company.

Journey to STEAM runs enrichment programs in schools across Oregon and Washington. It needed school calendars, rosters by building and one place for families to pay. So its founder built it.

Dr. Arielle Hammond spent a decade in public education, leading schools. She has signed the partner agreement from both sides of the table. Journey to STEAM cut $83K in annual admin costs running on enrops.

Pricing

How much does enrichment program software cost?

enrops is free for businesses. Families pay a small enrops service fee when they register, 3% of the program price, included in the price they see first, which is common for kids activities and camps. Your only cost is Stripe's standard processing. Pro is $99 a month for the time-saving automations.

A $180 term: families pay $185.40, or $183.60 when they pay by bank and save. Prefer to cover the fee yourself? Turn it on in settings.

Your fall term$180.00
enrops service fee, 3%$5.40
Family pays by card$185.40
Family pays by bank$183.60
You pay enrops$0.00

The service fee is refunded to the family whenever the registration is refunded. No service fee on donations, tips, gift add-ons or $0 registrations.

Questions enrichment operators ask before they sign up

What counts as an enrichment program?

A paid class, club, camp or workshop that teaches kids something outside the regular school day, run by a business or a nonprofit rather than the school itself. Chess club, robotics, art, cooking, ukulele, coding, theater, language. Families register for a term or a camp week and pay for it.

Is an enrichment program the same as an after-school program?

In much of the country the words mean the same thing: a class that runs after the bell. Enrichment is the wider word. It also covers lunchtime clubs, Saturday classes and school-break camps. enrops handles them the same way.

Can I run different prices at different schools?

Yes. Each program carries its own price, its own dates and its own roster, so two sites can sit in one account at two prices. There is no per-location pricing, on any plan, including Free.

Can families pay in installments?

Yes. You decide how many installments and when they fall, with no interest, plan fee or late fee. Families on a plan pay the same enrops service fee as families who pay in full. It is split across the installments.

What if my term has already started?

Publish the program anyway and charge what the remaining sessions are worth. Nothing has to be migrated, so a mid-term start costs you nothing. Winter term and summer camp are natural places to begin.

Do I need Stripe?

Yes. enrops uses Stripe so payments go straight to your own Stripe account and pay out to your bank. If you already have Stripe, you connect the account you have. If you don't, you create one during setup. Have your bank account and your EIN ready, or your SSN if you're a sole proprietor.

Your next term could open today.

Name the program, pull the school calendar, set the price, share the link. The money lands in your own Stripe account.
