- What’s in the workbook
- The lag
- Danger months
- Reserves
- Collecting politely
How to use this in 10 minutes
Open the workbook (cash-flow-planner.xlsx). On the Cash Flow tab, enter the month your plan starts and your starting bank balance. On the Invoice Lag tab, add your three biggest school invoices with the month you invoiced and your honest guess at the month each check arrives. Back on Cash Flow, any month that ends below your reserve floor turns red. That’s the picture. The afternoon version adds every revenue stream and your full payroll drumbeat.

How it was made
The worked pattern follows the author's own receivables experience. No real district names or amounts appear; all sample rows are fictional, and the scripts are original to this resource.
